Cetaphil Rebrand

Project Summary:
This rebranding project reimagines Cetaphil, a well-known skincare brand, with a more refined, modern identity while preserving its core values of trust, gentleness, and science-backed skincare. The redesign focused on elevating product packaging, refining brand visuals, and appealing to a broader audience.
Design Thought:
The project introduces a clean, lowercase logotype and minimal, science-inspired layouts. Packaging is tailored for specific skincare concerns like eczema, rosacea, and oily skin, using typographic hierarchy and ingredient callouts to emphasize function and clarity. Natural textures and pharmaceutical cues are used to strike a balance between clinical and comforting.
Color & Style:
A neutral, nature-inspired palette defines the rebrand, shifting from the original bold blue-and-green scheme to more sophisticated earth tones, soft yellows, and muted whites. Amber glass bottles, light gradients, and molecular linework subtly reinforce Cetaphil’s clinical credibility while enhancing shelf appeal.
Goal:
To reposition Cetaphil as both a dermatologist-recommended and design-forward brand. This rebrand demonstrates how packaging design and visual identity can be used to modernize legacy products while improving consumer engagement and shelf visibility.
